I have read so many reports and reviews that my head is spinning. It all comes down to a making a subjective decision. However, I am dealing with the doubt and the forebodings of my "nay not cheap, merely thrifty" side that tells me there is nothing wrong with my current frig and you have a case of the "wants", not "needs". Those voices in my head can really be obnoxious sometimes!
What color is your old refrigerator? Didn't you switch all your other appliances to stainless steel?
ReplyDeleteMy current side by side frig is black. No, I have not changed any appliances yet. I am using this blog as a research and design tool, since I do not have the fortitude to take on a project of that size until I am off during the summer.
ReplyDeleteI guess you need to decide whether you are changing appliances since this can definitely change your design layout. New refrigerators are larger aren't they? My older one is smaller and I think we would have trouble replacing it without altering a cabinet.
ReplyDeleteDepending on how old your "old" your fridge is, it might be costing you more money to run it. I believe the newer models are more energy efficient, plus can't you get a tax break if you get a more energy efficient appliance?
